There are actually three major mistakes that individuals usually make when they are implementing their tattoo cover up ideas to remove those undesired tattoo. I wish to write about these mistakes now so you can have a great understanding of all of these possible problems which you may experience so that you don't make them yourself. So let's have a much nearer look at this topic right now so you can get your tattoo cover up done right from the very beginning.

The first possible mistake you could create is that you choose a style that isn't large enough to hide the tattoo that you no longer like. When the current tattoo you have is 3" x 3", then you're going to want to obtain a whole new tattoo design that is at least 2 times as huge so that you are assured to cover up the old style properly without it ever displaying through again. This is extremely essential if you like to totally eliminate it once and for all.

The next mistake that lots of individuals make is they choose colours that are too light to totally hide the old design. And when you do this, you frequently botch the tattoo so much that it's no longer recognizable, but it doesn't really look good on you at all anymore. And if that happens then you're going to end up wanting to get laser surgery removal and you'd be better off avoiding that if possible for a whole host of reasons.

The final mistake is that people often pick a tattoo style that is way too detailed. When there are many details, you could frequently see the original tattoo design through it. And you have to prevent that completely mainly because you're obviously attempting to cover the old design up. So don't pick a style that is too detailed because there is a chance you'll be able to see through it.

Include these things into your thinking so you can avoid these pitfalls and prevent yourself from making an even bigger mistake.

Learn About Helpful Sleeve Tattoo Ideas

>> Tuesday, June 5, 2012

By Gage Freeman

Tattoos can be a wonderful way to express one's self, regardless if this is done with words or imagery. However, even those who often have had this kind of work done in the past can struggle with thinking up new ideas or finding inspiration for specific areas. This tends to be the case for larger areas, where inspiration or thinking up a design can be more difficult. For example, many people tend to look for sleeve tattoo ideas, since they generally entail a significant amount of work, rather than just one image alone.

Even though there can be a lot to think about when in regards to get any design work done, no matter where it's place, having on the arms can be particularly difficult for people to figure out. This is generally due to a number of different reasons, such as the amount of time and work involved. Because the area of the arm can be a significant amount or room to cover, knowing what to place on it in order to fill in that space can be hard for some people.

It's generally a good idea to think about a few things before you take on the task of having work done. For example, you may want to think about how large you want the design, since this will likely determine the look of the overall design. Sizes can vary on overall preference, such as when it comes to full, half and quarter sleeves.

Another issue that some people tend to struggle with involves having to work an already-existing tattoo. When people have a clean slate to work with, it usually means that they can do whatever they want, and it often means that design can flow better. If you happen to have a tattoo on your arm to work around, then it may be good to consider it as you think up ideas. You can also ask the artist about your options.

There are numerous ways to get ideas, such as by looking at online or in related magazines. Even if you prefer to have a style that's all your own, you may be able to become inspired by doing this. Some also find it useful to speak with individuals who have had sleeves done before, so that they can learn about new methods for gaining inspiration.

Although it's common for people to think of designs that are personal to them, many will also choose to have basic or popular themes done. This might include intricate scrollwork, Celtic knots, tribal, and even flowers. Some may even choose to do anything from koi fish down to an elaborate dragon design.

Mural-type artwork can also be a great idea for some people, whether if it involves landscapes or a particular scene. Some may even choose to have images of their loved ones add to their arm. You can also choose words, phrases, quotes, and many other ideas, or go for something that's dark or edgy.

As you think up sleeve tattoo ideas, it's good to think about the cost of things and the potential time involved. Depending on the size and detail, sleeves can often take up to 20 hours. This usually means that you will be making several visits in order to have the work done. You may also want to think about if you want it done in one color or in several.

The Hottest Tattoo Quotes, Ideas, & Word Designs For 2010

>> Saturday, April 17, 2010

The year has just started but obviously one of the biggest trends in tattoo designs is going to be word, literary and written tattoos of popular and cool quotes or sayings. There are many different names for these styles of tattoos but essential they all feature one major growing trend in tattoo designs and that is the trend of the written word.

Word Tattoo History

Of course word tattoos have always been around. A tattoo that features some lettering artwork is often less expensive and pretty easily done and therefore it has always been a pretty popular option. However, words were typically used as an embellishment to the main course so to speak.

In other words (pun intended) the graphic artwork of the tattoo design always took the center stage in the past. The only real exception to this rule was a memorial or gang related design. Other than those two usually the words were simply to convey the meaning of the picture or the design of the tattoo and the words were never really thought of as the design itself.

However, over the last two or so years this has really changed and now literary tattoos that feature fancy scripts, cursive writing and beautifully embellished fonts are the main part of the design. Some people might choose to give the words or written design a bit of artwork to go with it but it is only meant to enhance the overall design.

It seems these days people are fascinated with logos, sayings, words and song lyrics in just about any language. Japanese kanji tattoos, Arabic and Hindi designs as well as Celtic saying and olde English verses has all become very popular.

Popular Locations For Women

This trend has been picked up by men and women alike. Just as many women are getting their tattoo quotes as men. Some of the more popular locations for women to get such designs are a bit different than men.

Ankle - The ankle is a pretty small canvas for a tattoo and therefore lends itself to smaller and cute female tattoo designs such as words. Also they can naturally curve around the ankle making a beautiful and ornate looking bracelet yet one with deep and rich meaning.

Wrist - The wrist is pretty much like the ankle a great place for a delicate design that is femeinine and sexy at the same time. Thus the words or saying can easily wrap around the wrist. We have all seen the mass of celebrities getting the now famous under wrist tattoo. Typically a one or two word saying that is packed with meaning for the person.

Hip - The hip is the new lower back tattoo design. It is the new location for any sexy tattoo design and so why not but some beautifully embellished writing smack on the hip area.

Rib cage and Side - This has always been a location more reserved for the seriously committed tattoo fans as the rib cage can be one of the more painful areas to get tattoo designs done on. However, these days with so many people getting tattoos it can be hard to come up with original and unique ideas. Thus has lead many women to go with the rib cage tattoo.

Popular Locations For Men

Upper Back - A upper back tattoo is a great location since it is a big canvas. This is also a pretty popular place for guys to get a written tattoo. Typically guys go for a one word design instead of a saying but it is really up to your own tastes and what you want to get done.

However, it sure give you great bragging rights with your buddies when you can sport the cool ambigram tattoo design on your rib cage area. Nice and big to get the full effect.
